Deutscher AnwaltSpiegel Publishing Group – by Lawyers for Companies

The online-magazine Deutscher AnwaltSpiegel has been providing practice-oriented current information on business-relevant law every two weeks since 2009 — by lawyers for companies. The publishers are F.A.Z. BUSINESS MEDIA GmbH — a company of the F.A.Z. Group — and the legal publishing house German Law Publishers.

The flagship medium Deutscher AnwaltSpiegel is complemented by a series of quarterly magazines on specific legal topics such as ComplianceBusiness, DisputeResolution, RestructuringBusiness, and SustainableValue. Additionally, the BusinessLawMagazine, LaborLawMagazine, GoingDigital, and IntellectualProperty are published in English under the new umbrella brand German Law International.

We also produce the quarterly online magazine fourword on behalf of the Federal Association of Business Law Firms in Germany (BWD) and the annual publications CrossingBorders and e-Justice.

Our goal and mission are to present readers with practical topics that are important for their professional activities. To achieve this, we have secured a number of prominent strategic partners—all reputable national and international law firms as well as auditing firms — that contribute their extensive expertise to the AnwaltSpiegel and the associated publications. In addition, our cooperation partners — recognized scientific organizations and companies with connections to the legal market — also contribute to the further development of the magazines. Together with our advisory boards, comprising around 300 prominent in-house lawyers from key sectors of the German economy, we shape the editorial direction of our publications and ensure the high quality standard of our events.

In addition to roundtables on current legal issues, these include cross-platform professional and networking events, such as Legal Market Matters in June and Inhouse Matters in December, which has established itself as the “largest Christmas party in the German legal market”. For the first time this year, the most innovative law firm and the most innovative legal department will be honored with the Inhouse Matters Awards.

Further formats, such as the wide-reaching cooperation with F.A.Z. Einspruch PRO, the legal vertical of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, or the new online magazine CyberSecurity Quarterly, as well as other high-profile events from the “Matters”-series, are being planned.
